Studying Tips
- Read the textbook:
- Reading the textbooks allows you to learn the information that they might not go over during the lecture or have on the notes, but might be on the test.
- Create Effective Notes:
- Create notes at least 2 weeks in advance before the exam so that you have enough time to study. Use highlighters and colorful pens to create emphasis on your notes.
- Use the Study Guide:
- They make the study guides for a reason and a lot of the time ifyou can awnser the questions on the study guide then you are ready for the test. Also there is a chance that the test the professor gives is just like the study guide.
- Study the Homework:
- Professors give homework to test your knowledge of the material that was taught during the lecture.
- Get help from outside sources:
- If you do not understand the material or need help then can ask your professor or go to a tutor. There are also YouTube videos and websites like Khan Academy that can help you learn the material.
Presentation Tips
- Instead of using the slide templets that come with Power Point or Google slides go to Slidecarnival or Slidesgo to get better templetes.
- When creating graphs use Visme or Infograph to get etter visual graphs.
- Keep it simple:
- Do not cite your whole paper on your Power Point, instead just cite the highlights from the paper.
- clichés
- Create a rubric checklist that way you can make sure you have done all the required steps.
- Proof read and edit your slides.
Essay Tips
- Grammarly:
- This is a website and browser extension that helps you with writting your essays by checking grammer and plagarisim.
- Use Google Scholar to find sources for research papers.
- After writing your paper record yourself reading it, then listen to the recording to make sure that your essay does not have any mistakes.
