K-dramas are on the rise and with the recent success of Squid Games, which was released back in September, they have only risen in popularity. I created a list back in May of K-dramas that I suggested people should watch, but as the year went on more and more K-dramas have come out. There were so many good ones that I had to create another list. I have listed seven K-dramas that I have been watching recently and really enjoy. Below I have also included a synopsis and trailer for each drama.
My Name
If you have already seen or are familiar with the K-drama Nevertheless then you might recognize the show’s main actress Han So-hee. The show is about a young woman who after her father is murdered right in front of her, abandons everything to join the criminal underworld and infiltrate the police force undercover all to find and destroy the one who took her father from her. This show is my favorite on this list.
Nevertheless
Starring Han So-hee and Song Kang, Nevertheless is a Romance drama about the intoxicating charm of a flirtatious art school classmate who pulls a reluctant love cynic into a friends-with-benefits relationship.
My Mister
Staring the talented IU, My Mister is a K-drama about when a man in his 40’s withstands the weight of life and a woman in her 20’s goes through different experiences, but also withstands the weight of her life. The man and woman get together to help each other.
Blue Birthday
Blue Birthday is a drama staring Red Velvet’s Yeri and Yang Hong-seok. Yeri plays Oh Ha Rin, a 28-year-old woman whose heart still yearns for her first love and closest friend Ji Seo Jun, who is played by Hong-seok. They both use to be close friends and had strong romantic feelings for each other. After turning 18 she decides that she is ready to finally come clean about her feelings to him, only to discover that he had taken his own life. Later on, she finds a note where he too confessed his romantic feelings for her.

Just like every other human on the planet, Yumi is controlled by a complex network of cells that is kept running by an unseen operating system that is, for the most part, completely ignored. Yumi might seem like every other single working woman in the world, but underneath that ordinary exterior lies something truly extraordinary.
Tale of the Nine-Tailed
Lee Yeon was once the mountain spirit of Baekdudaegan, but after the love of his life dies he decides to sacrifice himself as a mountain god to resurrect her. Lee Yeon now lives his life as a nine-tailed fox in his human form and he has continued to live this way for hundreds of years.
True Beauty
True Beauty is a drama based on the Line Webtoon of the same name by Yaongyi. The show centers on a high school girl who, after being bullied and discriminated against because of being perceived as ugly, masters the art of makeup to transform herself into a gorgeous “goddess”.
