Skincare Products I'm Obsessed With This SpringSummer

Even though spring has just begun, it’s never too early to begin thinking about summer, specifically which skincare products we will switch to. While it might not seem important to adjust your skincare regimen, your skin actually has different needs during the summer.

In the fall and winter, the brisk breeze and lower humidity levels will cause your skin to dry out, requiring thicker creams and lotions. When you are exposed to this type of weather, your skin might flake and become itchy. In addition, spring and summer are the seasons when skin becomes oilier due to increased humidity.
As a starting point for your summer skincare routine, select skincare products that are water-based or gel-based. Stay away from lightweight, oil-based formulations. The summertime may be the time when oily skin wonders whether it even needs to be moisturized since it already produces so much oil.

Overall you differently need to add some products to your summer skincare routine. Here are some of my favorite and even Dermatologist recommended skin care items for the Summer.

Glow Recipe has some of the best skincare products. I have tried almost aloof their skincare products from their Avocado Ceramide Redness Relief Serum, Glow Ultra-Fine Mist – Hydrating, to the Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask. I have been l for a serum to add to my skincare routine and came across their Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum in Sephora. I have not been using this product for that long but so far it has helped soothe the redness on my skin.

Laneige is one of my favorite skin care brands. I first received the water sleeping mask on my birthday as a part of a promotional kit from Sephora. I loved the texture of the moisturizer and it makes my skin glow. The small travel size container lasted for about a month and after I completely ran out I immediately ordered another one from Sephora.

Sunscreen is a must-have item in any skincare routine. A misunderstanding many people have is that you only need sunscreen during the summertime but the sun can still cause damage to your skin in any weather. After trying different brands of sunscreens over the years I have decided that Supergoop! has the best variety of sunscreens. The sunscreen also has a matte finish that is hydrating and acts as a makeup primer.

The Hydro Boost Water Gel helps keep my skin moisturized and stay hydrated. You only need a dime-size amount to apply to your face after washing it. The small container last for almost a whole year. This moisturizer was also recommended to me by my dermatologist.

My mom is always using Patcaholoy eye gels and most recently she started using the Serve Chilled Rosé Hydrating Eye Gels. The website says that the eye gels work the best after they have been chilled in the fridge. My first time using these was last month while getting ready for my graduation. I was still painting my graduation cap and I did not get enough sleep the day before so while getting ready for graduation I decided to use the eye gels to cover up my dark circles. I was very surprised at the results because the patches made it seem like I had completely gotten rid of the dark circles.

Another product from Glow Recipe that I love is their Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Treatment Serum. I do not use this product every day because I don’t want to put too much because it does have some of the same ingredients as my scene medication and I didn’t want to keep adding the same ingredient on my face. The Vitamin C in this product has definitely helped lighten up my dark spots and I could tell a difference in as little as two weeks.

This face wash was recommended to me by my dermatologist and I have been using it for over five years now. I have tried a lot of different face washes over the years especially Proactive, but I feel like the hydrating cleanser from La Roche-Posay has worked the best for my face so far. The face wash has helped control my acene and after using it I feel like my face is 100% clean.

pore

I love using face masks in my skincare routine and  Dr. Jart is one of my favorite Korean skincare brands. I have oily skin and uneven texture and this face mask leaves my face feeling smooth after every use. The mask has ingredients such as green mud and sea salt that help reduce oil, and pore size, and removes dead skin cells. I use this face mask at least three times a week and I love the way my skin looks after using it.

toner

Recently I have been trying to get facials done at least twice a month to help keep my skin clear. My skin was starting to improve, but there was still some uneven skin texture even though the scene was gone. My facialist recommended me the toner because it contains glycolic acid, which helps smooth out the skin, decreasing hyperpigmentation and removing the excess dead skin cells that lead to breakouts.

During the summer your lips can get dry and crack and the only way to help improve the appearance and feel of your lips is to exfoliate them with a lip scrub. I love using lip scrubs because it leaves my lips feeling soft and smoothe.

Lip masks are the perfect way for you to keep your lips hydrated and the Laneige Lip Mask has plumping ingredients that can make your lips temporarily look fuller.
